Case Study: Samsung Keofit
The Challenge
Samsung Keofit was a fitness and wellness initiative aimed at helping users track their health through wearable devices, online tools, and personalized programs. The platform needed to integrate a variety of data sources—activity tracking, nutrition logs, and workout plans—into a cohesive user experience. Balancing cutting-edge technology with intuitive design required a structured approach that prioritized user engagement, seamless data syncing, and clear results-oriented features.
My role as Product Manager
While I handled budgets, timelines, and cross-functional coordination as a producer, I also embraced product management responsibilities by:
• Collecting input from Samsung’s R&D, UX design, marketing, and partner teams to shape core platform features
• Defining and maintaining a product roadmap, ensuring alignment between technical feasibility, user needs, and strategic market objectives
• Employing analytics and user feedback to drive iterative improvements, refining everything from onboarding flows to long-term user retention strategies
Planning and execution
I broke the project into sprints, focusing on key areas: wearable-device integration, data dashboards, personalized workout content, and social sharing features. Through regular stakeholder syncs and user testing, we homed in on areas like simplifying data visualization, automating workout recommendations, and ensuring interoperability with third-party health apps. This agile, user-centric approach allowed us to continually refine features based on real-world usage and emerging fitness trends.
Results
• Intuitive tracking & analytics: Streamlined dashboards let users easily view progress, compare performance over time, and get actionable insights on activity, nutrition, and sleep
