Case Study: CES

The Challenge

CES is a global event known for showcasing the latest in tech innovation. The website needed to engage a diverse audience—from sponsors and exhibitors to media and attendees—while remaining scalable, user-friendly, and consistently up-to-date with new content. The challenge lay in orchestrating multiple stakeholders, integrating evolving requirements, and ensuring the site remained a seamless hub for all CES-related resources.

My role as Product Manager

I collaborated closely with cross-functional teams—designers, developers, content strategists, and marketing—to distill strategic goals into actionable tasks. This involved:

• Translating stakeholder feedback into feature requirements

• Mapping out sprints and timelines to align with the CES event schedule

• Creating a central roadmap that balanced user needs with technical feasibility

Because I was involved in all planning meetings and discussions about user experience, I effectively acted as both a producer and a product manager. I not only handled logistical details—like scheduling and resource allocation—but also influenced critical product decisions such as navigation flows, content prioritization, and personalization features.

Planning and execution

I coordinated daily stand-ups to maintain transparency and keep the team focused on top priorities. By setting clear milestones, we could quickly adapt to late-breaking CES announcements and last-minute exhibitor updates. My data-driven approach helped pinpoint optimization opportunities, such as simplifying the navigation to help visitors find trending sessions and exhibitors more easily.

Results

• Increased engagement: A streamlined site structure and frequent content updates encouraged repeat visits and boosted session length.

• Enhanced user satisfaction: Feedback from exhibitors, sponsors, and attendees showed that the redesigned navigation made it far easier to discover key information.

• On-time delivery: Despite last-minute requests and time-sensitive event details, we delivered new features and content updates according to plan—meeting strict CES launch deadlines.

Why this project stands out

Leading the CES website project perfectly demonstrates my dual capacity. As a producer, I managed the high-level orchestration of teams and resources. As a product manager, I shaped the vision for the site, guided feature prioritization, and drove iterative improvements based on user insights. This holistic approach ensured that we delivered a robust, user-centric platform for one of the most recognized tech events in the world.
