Case Study: Globaledit
The Challenge
Globaledit provides a platform that streamlines image-editing workflows for creative teams in fashion, retail, and marketing. It aims to help users collaborate more effectively by enabling real-time editing, approvals, and asset management. The primary challenge was to create a unified, user-friendly experience that catered to both small creative agencies and large enterprise clients, while ensuring seamless integration with existing workflows and tools.
My role as Product Manager
While managing resources, timelines, and communication across designers, developers, and stakeholders as a producer, I simultaneously took on product management responsibilities by:
• Gathering feature requirements from agency users, enterprise clients, and internal teams, translating them into a clear product roadmap
• Prioritizing functionality based on client needs, technical feasibility, and market demands, ensuring that the platform remained scalable
• Using analytics and user feedback to iteratively refine core features such as version control, tagging, and collaborative editing
Planning and execution
I structured the project into sprints, focusing on major functionalities—like multi-user editing, image version management, and user permissions. Through regular syncs with clients and stakeholders, we continually incorporated feedback on usability and performance, enhancing features like image annotations and custom workflows. Additionally, I worked closely with QA teams to ensure that the platform’s integrations (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud) were tested rigorously and delivered a frictionless experience.
Results
• Improved workflow efficiency: By centralizing approvals, editing tools, and version control in one place, teams significantly reduced back-and-forth communication and time-to-publish
• Enhanced collaboration: Real-time annotations and task assignments allowed creative directors, photographers, and retouchers to work together seamlessly—leading to quicker turnaround and higher-quality deliverables
• Scalable platform: A flexible architecture and robust admin tools enabled agencies and larger enterprises alike to tailor the platform to their specific processes and user roles
Why this project stands out
Developing a platform for creative professionals demanded a careful balance between powerful functionality and intuitive design. By combining my producer role (overseeing timelines, budgets, and team organization) with product management duties (feature prioritization, stakeholder alignment, iterative optimization), I ensured the end result catered to various user needs while driving efficiency and collaboration in the highly competitive world of digital asset production.
